I had always wanted to try Rolfing, but just never had the opportunity to do so, until I met Jake. The bodywork that he does is fantastic, slightly painful, but totally worth a little discomfort. As an aerialist, I’m used to having deep tissue work on my body, so it didn’t faze me at all. After every session, I left the table feeling longer, more fluid and connected, and more grounded (especially after an intense session of work on my feet). I’ve never had anyone spend an hour on my feet, but wow, I felt great afterwards! Highly recommended. Jake also worked on several of my fellow aerialist. We all love him! I especially like how passionate he is about his work. It’s always great to meet someone who really loves his/her job. Come back to Oahu soon Jake!

When I came to Jake I was suffering from horrible shinsplints (I had just started training for my first marathon), chronic constipation, scoliosis, and adrenal fatigue. Almost everyone told me that the only way I could get rid of my shinsplints would be to stop training. I began to rest, stretch, and massage my shins every single day but nothing was working. Once I started rolfing I was immediately able to start running again without any pain. Immediately my conditioning saw dramatic improvements. My form felt better than ever and I could run farther and faster. I genuinely don’t think there’s any way I could have continued training if I hadn’t started rolfing.
Overall my body just felt out of whack before I started working with Jake. But today, I no longer have pain in my back from scoliosis, my digestion is working smoothly and efficiently, and I have so much more energy. I feel better, I can think clearer, and I’ve been told that I’m carrying myself differently. Working with Jake was one of the best choices I could have made for myself. I would recommend him to anyone without any hesitation!
I completed the 10 series and have noticed so many differences in my body. A lifetime sloucher, I am now able to access good posture without strain or discomfort. Jake always takes the time to explain what he’s doing and checks in with you frequently. He made me feel part of the process, and I felt educated throughout the series.
I have been doing yoga for 13 years and now I’m able to get more deeply into many postures, it’s changed my practice for the better! Also, just the way I stand and move has more freedom and movement, I am grateful for the knowledge that I’ve gained about how my body moves. I feel it’s something that everyone can benefit from, and something you should do for yourself! I highly recommend Jake as your Rolfer, he is very knowledgeable and professional.
Thank you Jake for all the work and time you put into working on me. After the 1st session I felt instant relief in neck, hips and back. The next morning I woke feeling very well rested, probably the best sleep in a long time. I was able to get up without the usual lower back pain and stiffness. That morning after yoga, I felt like my body opened up. I was surprised at how balance I was and how I could really ground my foot in the standing postures. I could tell because half way through the class my mat usually shifts and I have to straighten it out. I felt great control of my form which seemed to help me get deeper into my postures. My sciatica did not bother me at all. In cobra, I could feel my neck really open up. That was the best & strongest I’ve felt in a long time. Even walking seems to feel better. Thank you so much.
